Team DataFam is an archive of Tableau User Group talks — the meetings themselves, written down.
Tableau User Groups meet all over the world: by city, by country, by industry, and by community. Most meet monthly, most are recorded, and almost none of what is said in them is ever written down. A recording is an hour-shaped wall. You cannot skim it, search it, or quote from it.
This site turns those recordings into something you can actually read and search. Every talk here carries:
- a full transcript, timestamped — click any line and the recording jumps to that moment
- a summary and the key takeaways, so you can decide in thirty seconds whether the hour is for you
- chapters, for jumping straight to the part you came for
- who spoke, linked to every other talk they have given
- the short clips cut from the session
Because the words are indexed, a search finds something said in passing forty minutes in — not just the title on the front of it.
How the transcripts are made
It is worth being straight about this, because the answer is partly machine.
- The audio is transcribed by a speech-to-text service, which also separates the speakers from one another.
- Those speakers are then named by checking the recording itself — the name on a participant’s video tile, a title slide, or someone introducing them out loud. Names are never inferred from a guess.
- Summaries, takeaways and chapters are drafted with AI assistance and reviewed before anything is published.
- Technical terms, product names and people’s names are corrected against a glossary that grows with every meeting. Speech-to-text is confidently wrong about surnames in particular.
Where a speaker cannot be identified from the recording, the transcript says nothing rather than guessing. A misattributed sentence on a real person’s page is not a small error, and it is not one an apology undoes.
Corrections and removals
If you spoke at one of these meetings and something here is wrong — your name, your employer, a mangled term, a sentence attributed to the wrong person — tell us and it will be fixed.
If you would rather not appear at all, that is fine too, and no reason is needed. The page will be taken down.
The recordings
The recordings themselves live on YouTube, on the channel of the group that made them. This site embeds them and links back; it does not re-host anyone’s video. Watching a talk here counts as a view for the group that recorded it.

Team DataFam is a community project, run and maintained by the Team DataFam team. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Salesforce or Tableau.
